Phillip Oh
December 27, 1959 — September 26, 2022
Phillip Oh was born in Singapore on December 27, 1959, the first born child to Stephen and Helen Oh. He served in the Singapore Air Force until he left Singapore to pursue college at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. There he met the love of his life, Rhonda Walker. They were married in 1990. They have one son, Harrison, who now resides in Birmingham, AL.
Phillip had many passions and loves, but his number one love was for his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He adored Rhonda, Harrison and his extended family near and far. He loved going back to Singapore to visit his family that still resides there.
Phillip was very passionate about "good" food, we all called him "our Foodie". He knew all the great restaurants in most any town you were going to visit! He also was an excellent cook! He had many other passions: music, photography, cars and especially Formula 1 racing, tennis and travel to name some of them. He was an invaluable resource related to any of these interests.
Phillip was a wonderful friend, neighbor, husband, dad, son, brother, nephew, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. He never met a stranger, and connected with many people on so many different levels.
Phillip suffered with multiple health problems throughout his life here on earth. But despite his many issues, he always had a smile on his face and encouraging words to share with everyone. He had a way to always bring light to any situation, even if it was just to listen, and offer an "I'm sorry". He encouraged everyone to "pray about everything, God has a plan" which were words that often got him through tough times.
Phillip will be missed by so many of us that are left behind, but we all smile and relish at the thought that he is not suffering physically any longer and that we will see him again one day! He is made new and complete &now serving our dear Lord in Heaven.
Phillip is survived by his wife, Rhonda, son Harrison, mother Helen, sister Jackie as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and their spouses both here in the States as well as Singapore.
