Paul Lamar Wright

Mr. Paul Lamar Wright, age 85, of Villa Rica, Georgia passed away February 12, 2021. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA. with Reverend Keith Collins and Reverend Thomas Grantham officiating. Interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Smyrna, Georgia.

Mr. Wright was born July 1st, 1935, in Fulton County, the son of the late J.H. and Ruby Bagby Wright. He was a graduate of West Fulton High School Class of 1953. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He was a member of Floyd Road Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. In 1992, he retired as a Distribution Supervisor for Georgia Power after 38 years. In his retirement years, he enjoyed playing golf, fishing, genealogy research, spending time with his grandchildren and cheering on his beloved Georgia Bulldogs.

Survivors include: wife, Katherine McCann Wright, daughter and son-in-law: Paula and Robert Sellers of Villa Rica, Georgia; son and daughter-in-law: Brian and Cynthia Wright of Dallas, Georgia; grandchildren: Travis Sellers, Allison and Matthew Kretschmar, Madalyn Wright and Logan Wright; great-grandchildren: Maddison Kretschmar; sister and brother-in-law: Shirley and Jack Jones of Mableton, Georgia; sisters: Sandra Freeman of Marietta, Georgia, Linda Meyer of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
