Mrs. Patricia Lillian Zona, age 91, of Marietta, GA passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017. The family will receive friends on Saturday, May 13, 2017 from 3pm until 5pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA. She will be interred at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery in Rochester, NY at a later date.
A native of Rochester, NY, Mrs. Zona had recently moved to Marietta, GA. She retired as a Compensation Claims Adjuster for Hartford Insurance after 25 years of employment. She also served as the President of the Aquinas Band Booster Club, and helped get the band into their first Macy’s Day Parade in 1963. She was a member of the Peace of Christ Parish at St. Ambrose, and enjoyed gardening at the home where she lived at for 65 years.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Richard Andrew Zona, Sr., and daughter-in-law, Barbara Jean Zona. Survivors: 2 Children: Barbara Anne (Robert Rivera) Bianchi, Marietta, GA, Richard Andrew Zona, Jr., Webster, NY; 4 Grandchildren: Patrick (Jennifer) Bianchi, New York City, NY, Allyson (Collin Michael) Bianchi, Marietta, GA, Jeffrey Bianchi, Buford, GA and Regina (Pat Smith) Zona, Yonkers, NY, and beloved pet, Jorgie.
