Patricia Jan Wilkie

Patricia "Jan" Wilkie, born on March 22nd, 1936, in Henry County, GA passed away on Friday, September 08, 2023. She died at the age of 87, in Marietta, GA after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her parents William Amoy Mays and Elon Morris Mays, her husband Jimmy Wilkie, her son Abraham "Abe" Whittington, her brother William "Bill" Mays, her four sisters Sarah Mays Bouler, Varina Mays Anderson, Annis Mays Dillard, and Peggy Mays West.

She is survived by her son Gabriel "Gabe" Whittington and his wife Andrea, son Autumn "Audy" Whittington, granddaughter Abby Whittington Abbott, grandson Ryan Whittington, his wife Jamie, grandson Autumn "Audy" Whittington, his wife Melanie, great-grandson Maddox Whittington, great-granddaughter Leighton Whittington, great-grandson David Whittington, several brother in laws, nieces, and nephew's.

Jan retired from Rollins, Inc. She loved spending time with her family and friends, going on her annual beach trip to Daytona, and traveling with her husband, church members, and friends.

Jan's service will be held 12:00 pm on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Living Stone Church located at 545 Lorene Dr., SW, Marietta, GA 30060. The visitation will begin at 11:30 am, the service will begin at noon. There will be a potluck meal held after the service at the church, concluding with her burial at Rolling Hills Memory Gardens located at 4355 Hwy. 92, Acworth, GA 30120 at 3:30 pm. Pastor Joe Postell will perform the service.

In accordance with her wishes, Jan's remains will be laid to rest alongside her eldest son Abraham Whittington, who passed away on January 29, 2022. Abraham "Abe" was born on January 21, 1956.
