Oakey Joe Crooks Jr.

Oakey Joe Crooks, Jr., age 58, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Monday, October 18, 2021. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.

A lifelong resident of Marietta, Joe attended McEachern High School, then graduated from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor's Degree. He owned and operated A Home 4 U 2 Live, LLC for the past 30 years. He enjoyed many things, including Geneology, collecting Cherokee Indian Artifacts and going to the Big Shanty Auctions. He was a longtime member of LaBelle Heights Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his father, Oakey Joe Crooks, Sr., a nephew, Richard Crowder, a niece, Kelly Crowder Davis, and his beloved dog, Ruby.

Survivors include: Mother, Charlotte Crooks, Marietta, GA; 4 Sisters, Vickie (David) Crooks Rittiner, Marietta, GA, Sheila (Jeff) McBride, Austell, GA, Yvonne (James) Barber, Kennesaw, GA and Debbie (Don) Kennedy, Marietta, GA; Nieces and Nephew, Elizabeth (Chris) Crowder Farr, Rachel Mercer, Ellen Rittiner, Hank Rittiner, Malcolm Crowder and Madison Farr; Beloved Dogs, Layla and Chips.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Joe Crooks' memory to the Shepherd Center @ www.give.shepherd.org .
