Norman W. Morris

Norman W. Morris, age 92, of Hiram, GA, passed away on Saturday, October 5, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Monday, October 7, 2013, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta with Rev. Rodney Carson and Rev. Mike Woods officiating. Interment will follow at Crest Lawn Memorial Park in Atlanta.
A native of Forsyth County, Mr. Morris was a Veteran of the United States Navy stationed on the USS Waupaca from 1940-1945. He later retired from Skelton Trim Shop where he was employed as a Master Upholsterer. He was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
Survivors include his children, Millie (Luke) Johnston of Hiram, GA, Walter C. (Nancy) Morris of Toccoa, GA and Richard (Sheila) Morris of Hiram, GA; siblings, Sue (Jim) Trapnell, Betty Lou (Willis) Ludwig and Donald (Sarah) Morris; 8 grandchildren, Teresa Hawkins, Bonnie Timms, Lori Caldwell, David Johnston, Ben Morris, Scott Morris, Trent Morris and Lisa Richardson; 13 great-grandchildren, Faith Hawkins, Chandler Timms, Michael Caldwell, Mark Caldwell, Jake Richardson, Emily Johnston, Olivia Johnston, Mallory Caldwell, Max Caldwell, Addison Morris, Bryan Morris, Michelle Richardson and Caleb Morris; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 6, 2013, from 5pm-8pm.
Memorial contributions can be made to WellStar Community Hospice at Tranquility.
