Nita Nelson Potts
April 12, 1932 — July 12, 2015
Nita Lee Nelson Potts, age 83, of Dallas, GA passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2015. Memorial Services will be held at 2pm on Wednesday, July 15th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with The Rev. Wayne Thornton officiating.
A native of Spokane, WA, Mrs. Potts was a homemaker, and also had worked at the Pentagon, the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers, and United Christian Ministries. She was of the Presbyterian faith, and was an organist for various churches. She was an avid reader, seamstress, and she loved opera and Jeopardy!.She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold Nelson and Myrtle Truedson Nelson, and her sister, Shirley Crichfield.

Son: Paul “David” Potts, and spouse Carleen Daly, Shrewsbury, MA
Daughter: Lorena Peterson and spouse Alan, Cumming, GA
Daughter: Jenelle Thornton and spouse Wayne, Marietta, GA
Daughter: Julie Wear and spouse Tim, Dawsonville, GA
Son: Troy Potts and spouse Cathy, Manassas, VA
A host of Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and Nieces and Nephews
