Mrs. Ngozi Uzoamaka Agbeyegbe, age 73 of Smyrna, passed away January 9, 2015. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at 12 noon in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta with Chaplain Ron Daniel officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, Marietta. The family will receive friends from 10 am until the service at the funeral home.
Mrs. Ngozi Agbeyegbe was born in Ogidi, Nigeria and lived in London, England before moving to Smyrna, Georgia 3 years ago to be with her son. She trained and worked as a midwife in the United Kingdom for over 20 years and retired as a registered nurse in the Nigerian Army, reaching the rank of Major. She was active in church activities and was an avid squash player. She was a devoted mother and grandmother to her loving family and was a woman of immense strength and courage. She will be dearly missed by her family, but they are comforted by the fact that she is resting in the Lord.
She is predeceased by her husband, Michael Elume Agbeyegbe and is survived by her daughter, Connie (Lanre) Maliki of Calgary, Alberta, Canada and son, Dr. Kingsley (Kwavi) Agbeyegbe of Smyrna, Georgia; and her precious grandchildren: Nabila Maliki, Samir Maliki, Yasmin Maliki, Weyimi Agbeyegbe and Timeyin Agbeyegbe.
She is also survived by siblings: Mr. Clement Unobagha, Mrs. Obute Ndibe, Mrs. Ozoemena Achebe, Mr. Obiora Unobagha, Mrs. Obiageli Amobi, Mrs. Nneka Ikegulu, Mr. Uzo Unobagha, Mrs. Oyiboka Ufodiama and Mr. Chime Unobagha.
