Naomi Thomas Picou, daughter of Sammie Lee Thomas and Earl Dickerson, was born on December 28th 1924, in Little Rock, Arkansas.
She received her high school education in St. Louis, Missouri.
On sept, she was united in holy matrimony to Theodore Oliver Picou in San Diego, California who preceded her in death in 1981.
During her long and successful career in Avi-ation, she retired from General Dynamics in San Diego, California.
To this union, were six step-children: Theodore Picou, Marie K. Dailey, David Picou, Robert Picou, Oliver David Picou, and Cecile Picou.
Since 2002, she resided in Georgia with her daughter, Marie Dailey and her grand-children-Kelley and Hugh L. Smith. She was the proud grandparent of Johanna Moore, Ronald Dailey, and Robin Strong and her great grandchildren, Lily and Jacob Smith. Naomi had many great grandchildren who loved her dearly.
Since 2002, she was very involved in the following clubs: Red Hats Club, Powder Springs Senior Citizens and Sassy Classy Ladies Club. She leaves behind a host of friends who remember her colorful personality.
Naomi loved to travel, celebrations, and attending church at Trinity Chapel.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Trinity Chapel with Bishop Jim Bolin officiating. A repast will follow after the service.
