Nancy Blackwood Cheshire (Sam), age 66, of Marietta passed away May 25, 2015. A Memorial Service will be held at 10 am on Friday, May 29 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta with Rev. Brent Bond officiating.
Nancy was a Purchasing Manager for the City of Marietta for over 15 years. She was a 1967 graduate of Marietta High School. She enjoyed sewing and crocheting, but she loved her husband, children and grandchildren most of all. Nancy won the fight against Leukemia and fought valiantly against Graft-Host disease.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Ron W. Cheshire; daughters: Katharine C. (Brian) Tate, Lynn C. (Phil) Frady; son, Brent (Michelle) Cheshire; brother, Van R. Blackwood; 4 grandchildren and several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to thank Donna Sillesky, Wrentta Gabriel, the Kosky family and the doctors and nurses at Northside Hospital for their help and support during Nancy’s fight with cancer.
