Myrtice Thompson

Myrtice E. Thompson, age 83, of Acworth, Georgia passed away April 25, 2018. Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
Myrtice Thompson was raised in Barnesville Georgia where she met her Husband of 56 years, Aubrey Thompson (deceased 2008). She remained dedicated to him as a Cobb County Police Lieutenant and the Church as a minister's wife during the time he pastored Austin Avenue, West Side and Haney Grove Baptist churches in greater Marietta Georgia. She is preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Thompson, and sister Mildred Giamalva of Pensacola Florida. She is survived by three children, Marsha Hemmerich, Mark Thompson, Keith Thompson; two brothers Bill and Blant Edwards; 9 grandchildren Erin Elder, Lindsay Lecroy, Ashley Lecroy, Corey Thompson, Taylor Thompson, Olivia Thomas, Pierce Kelly, Claire Kelly, Collin Thompson and three great grandchildren, April, Anna and Jameson Elder. She will always be remembered for her care and concern for all those she knew. She is even now holding her husband’s hand and singing her favorite hymn, In the Garden, in the presence of the Lord. She is smiling.
