Moses Nathaniel McCall III

Moses Nathaniel McCall III, age 70, of Lithia Springs passed away on Friday, June 22, 2012. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, in Marietta with Elder Kurt Bacon and friend, Mr. Floyd Moye officiating. Born in Marietta and raised in Acworth, Mr. McCall had lived in Lithia Springs for the past 44 years. He was a graduate of Wake Forest University and was a retired Assistant Commissioner with the GA Department of Natural Resources. He was a member of the Greater Atlanta Rose Society, Peach State Glass Club and Fenton Art Glass Society. He was a founding father and past president of the Douglas County Soccer Association. Survivors include his wife and soul mate of 47 years, Shirley Webb McCall; son, Moses Nathaniel “Nat” McCall IV and Robin Russell McCall, beloved wife of his only child and the daughter he always wanted; grandson, Moses Nathaniel “Mac” McCall V; siblings, Herbert Arthur Maddox McCall of Vienna, VA, Sue McCall Camp of Dallas, GA, Russell William McCall of Gainesville, GA, Mabel Claire McCall of Dallas, TX, Murl Bolton McCall of Kennesaw, GA and beloved pets Booger, Kaboodle, and Noel. The family will receive friends immediately after the service at the funeral home where Mose’s favorite barbeque and refreshments will be served.
