Michael Anthony Tyler, age 33, of Marietta, GA passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2016. Memorial Services will be held at 12:00 PM on Friday, March 4, 2016 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Elder Bobby Cooper officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 12:00 PM on Friday, March 4th at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. in Marietta. A reception will follow the service from 1pm until 3pm at the funeral home.
Michael Anthony Tyler was born on December 4, 1982 to Lynette Tyler and Virgil Tyler and was the younger of the two children born from this union. Michael accepted Christ at the age of 10 and was Baptized by Reverend Bartlett L. Wilkerson at Baptist Church of the Holy Communion (BCHC). He was a member of the youth choir and the youth usher board at BCHC.
Michael was very active in youth baseball, basketball and football, and played organized sports throughout his life.
He graduated from Cardinal Ritter College Prep High School in St. Louis, Missouri and also attended Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau, Missouri. As a young adult Michael had a passion for rap music and was a Ghostwriter for several professional rappers.
Michael was a Georgia State Certified Commercial Appraiser and was employed by Tyler Technologies, Inc. in their Marietta, Georgia office. Throughout his tenure with Tyler Technologies, he worked in New Orleans, LA, Hartford, CT and Anderson, SC.
Michael was a devoted and loving husband to Naleymi and really adored and cherished his two daughters Aloni and Mia, and was so looking forward to the birth of his third daughter Juliette. Michael had an unconditional love for his brother Virgil LaVelle and his parents. Michael enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest. His zest for life was contagious. He treasured his family and friends. Once you became Michael’s friend, you were a friend for life. Michael’s favorite place on Earth was New Orleans, Louisiana. His passions included music, traveling and sports. Michael loved the St. Louis Cardinals, the Chicago Bulls, the Philadelphia Eagles and the New Orleans Saints. He was a true gentleman with a beautiful smile, a warm heart and a charitable nature. He will truly be missed.
Michael left his Earthly home early Sunday morning, February 28, 2016. He was preceded in death by his Grandmother, Rose Ann Tyler and Grandfathers, Press Tyler Sr., and Edward Madison, an Aunt, Julie Renee Madison, Uncles Elmer Neely, Press Tyler Jr., Louis Davis and Cousins Lydell (Rusty) Templeton and Mary Turner (Moonie).
He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Naleymi , daughters, Aloni Angel Polanco, Mia Amor, and Juliette Aaili (expected March 28, 2016), his mother, Lynette (Dr. Maurice Gogarty) of Tallahassee, FL, his father, Virgil Tyler (Robin) of Bridgeton, MO, his brother Virgil LaVelle (Natisha) of San Tan Valley, AZ, sisters Valencia Tyler and Danielle Tyler, and brother Virgil Lee II, all of St. Louis, stepsisters Grace and, Annalise Gogarty of St, Louis, MO, stepbrothers, John Gogarty of Dearborn, MI, Gregory (Lisa) Cole, Jamal Cole and Jared Cole, grandparents Carol and John Dickens of Mesa, AZ, his Godmother, Jeanette Conley Langford of Bridgeton, MO, Mother-in-Law, Maria Garcia (Vicente Flores) of Mexico, Father-in-Law, Santos Sanchez (Lorena) of Mexico, Brother-in-Law, Jonathan Sanchez (Kimberly), Marietta, GA, Sister-in-Laws, Naylea Sanchez, Leslie Lopez, Melanie Lopez, Michelle Lopez, and Kailey Lopez, all of Marietta, GA and a host of Nieces, Nephews, Aunts, Uncles, Family and Friends.
