Michael Rooks

Michael Kent Rooks, age 77, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, October 25, 2019 at Floyd Road Baptist Church in Austell with Rev. Keith Collins and Richard Metcalf officiating.

Born in Texas, Mr. Rooks moved to Marietta, GA 30 years ago from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked in the heating and air industry for many years, and was a member of Floyd Road Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Claud and Velma Rooks, a brother, Taylor Rooks, and a sister, Martha Hicks.

Survivors include: Wife, Faye Murner Rooks; 4 Children, Bradley (Dawn) Rooks, Tulsa, OK, Debbie (Mac) McDougal, Tulsa, OK, Michelle Ferguson, Waggoner, OK and Lori Clark, Acworth, GA; Sister, Janice Staples, Palestine, TX; Brother, Paul Rooks, Washburn, Missouri; Sister-in-Law, Phyllis (Jerry) Roan, 12 Grandchildren, 8 Great Grandchildren and many Nieces and Nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael Rooks's memory to the Cobb County Animal Services or the American Heart Association.
