Michael Perry Hornsby

Michael Perry Hornsby, (Mike) age 70, passed away in Powder Springs, GA after a lengthy illness on April 28, 2024.  Mike was born in Atlanta on November 29, 1953 and grew up in Henry County, GA.  He is survived by his wife Bonnie, his son Josh, his brother Mark from Savannah, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his loving parents William Carl Hornsby. Sr and Wyolene Fannin Hornsby; and his brothers: Bill and Tim Hornsby.

Mike was a graduate of the University of Georgia and was a major influence on his younger brothers going there and in the direction of their lives; something he and his parents were very proud of.  He worked as a real estate appraiser for many years.  Outside of work, his favorite activities were spending time with his wife and son, gardening, fishing and cheering for the University of Georgia Bulldogs.  

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, May 5, 2024 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta, GA with Craig Hutto officiating.   The family will receive visitors from 1:00pm to 2:00pm preceding the Service.

The family appreciates the services of WellStar Hospice during his illness and all those who have prayed and supported them during this time.
