Melissa Richardson, age 62, of Marietta, Georgia passed away peacefully Tuesday, June 20, 2023.
Melissa worked for the state of Georgia in various positions from the age of 19, retiring there in October 2017. While there she made many close friends that became like family. She loved spending time with her family, grandchildren, friends, and animals. Melissa especially loved trips to the beach with loved ones and searching for shells on the shore. She had a talent for decorating and making holidays and birthdays special for everyone.
She is survived by her: Husband, Evan Richardson, Marietta, GA; Daughter, Jill Holdren, Powder Springs, GA: Grandson, Cedric McGarity Jr., Powder Springs, GA; Granddaughter, Chloe McGarity, Powder Springs, GA.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 24, 2023, at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM, with Pastor Chip Gordon officiating the memorial service being held there at 3:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Melissa's name to an animal charity or sanctuary of your choosing.
