Mavis LaVerne Hansard, age 89, of Austell, GA passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm on Monday, November 12, 2012 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Chaplain David Stringer officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park. A native of Forsyth County, GA, Mrs. Hansard lived in Cobb County for most of her life. She was a homemaker, and was an active member of Orange Hill Baptist Church for over 50 years. Survivors include:

Son, Phillip Hansard and wife Annette, Marietta, GA; Daughter, Linda Walker and husband Larry, Powder Springs, GA; Siblings, Verdelle Herring, Cumming, GA, Ira Tatum, Alpharetta, GA, and Jean McBride, Hiram, GA; 4 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
