Mary Katherine Woodyard, age 88, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012. At the time of her death she resided with her daughter, Jane Trevino, in Mableton, Georgia. She was born March 16, 1924, in Batesville, Arkansas, to Rama Lloyd Reynolds and Mable Flora Reynolds and was married on September 27, 1946 to Thomas Andrew Woodyard, Jr. Mrs. Woodyard attended and received her LPN certificate from St. Vincents Nursing School in Little Rock. She was employed at Craig Hospital in Batesville and later became a nurse for the Blytheville School System.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Batesville and active in the progressive Sunday school class. She is survived by her daughters, Lucinda Clifford and husband Michael,and Jane Wyatt Trevino and husband Gilbert, her sister Sylvia Elizabeth Johnson, and her brother Van Reynolds. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Sean Trevino, Abigail Clifford, Melissa Bryant, Amanda Mack and Michael Clifford and fifteen great-grandchildren, Blake Galloway, Jeremy Sears, Kayla Bryant, Aman Trevino, Michael Clifford III, Elijah Mack, Gabriel Mack, Sachin Trevino, Isabella Clifford, Haleigh Clifford, Caleb Mack, Sarah Mack, Natalie Clifford, Joshua Clifford and Aiden Mack. She was preceded in death by her husband, a great-grandson, three brothers and a sister. These words sum up her life...a wonderful mother, loving, giving, and caring.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, November 2nd at 11am at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA with Rev. Eddie Rhodes officiating. On Monday, November 5th, a funeral service will be held at 11am at the First United Methodist Church in Batesville, AR with Rev.s Bob and Kay Burton officiating. Burial will follow at Cave City Cemetery in Cave City, AR. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Pallbearers include John Taylor, John Ellis, Donald Heddon, Joe Calhoun, Howard House, Fred Shelton, Paul Holifield, Ken Bolton, and Dr. Bob Walton as a honorary pallbearer.
