Mary J. Evans

Mary Joyce Evans, age 83, of Woodstock, GA formerly of Smyrna, GA, passed away April 1, 2018. Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta. Interment will follow at Riverview Memorial Park in Smyrna, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her husband Mr. Donald Evans and her sister Carolyn Brown.

A lifelong resident of Smyrna, GA. Mrs. Evans retired from the Polaroid Corporation where she worked for many years as a Secretary. She loved Spending time with her family, reading and playing the piano.

Survivors include: four children: Cliff (Janet) Evans, Pam (Mark) Motes, David (Cathy) Evans and Gary Evans. seven grandchildren: Heather, Christa, Shane, Adam and his wife Sarah, Tara and her husband Neal, Sara and Gregory; a host of great-grandchildren; three sisters: Diana Greenway, Kathryn Burdette and Emily Hewett; brother: Bill (Pearline) Burdette and two devoted nieces Susie Martinez and Janie Peal.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
