Mary Jo Dobbins

Mary Jo Dobbins, age 89, of Canton, Georgia passed away September 7, 2022. Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 13, 2022 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. She is preceded in death by her husband, Otis C. Dobbins and son, Jeffery C. Dobbins of Smyrna.

She was a wonderful person who will be missed tremendously by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. Born on June 23, 1933, she was the only child of the late Ada and John Bishop. She was a graduate of Osborne High School and owned and operated Dobbins Feed & Seed in Smyrna, Georgia alongside her husband for 40 years. She retired in the year 2000 and moved from Smyrna to Canton where she enjoyed life to the fullest traveling with her girls on road trips and cruises, as well as being a member of the Canton Canasta Club and The Red Hat Society. Her adventurous nature and loving spirit were contagious and will guide us all for many years to come.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Jodee Dobbins Glisson and Nora Jones who is truly like her 2nd daughter, as well as a wealth of beautiful extended family and friends.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 12, 2022 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
