Mary Jackson Davis

Mary J. Davis, age 92, of Smyrna, GA passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011. Funeral Services will be held 11am on Friday, July 29, 2011 at Cheatham Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Shane Newton, Rev. Steve McEntyre and Rev. Dennis McCoy officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta.



A native of Cedartown, Mrs. Davis moved to Smyrna in 1951. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Carl W. Davis, with whom she established Temple Baptist Church in 1952. She retired from Rich’s Department Store in Smyrna after 19 years of employment, and she had resided in Smyrna Towers past 18 years.
