Mary Lois Couey, age 95, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away October 9, 2022. She is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin N. Couey; parents Emory Oslin and Martha Jane Day; brother James Day and son, Charles Alan Dobbins. She is survived by her children; Sandra Hogan of Marietta, Mickey Dobbins (Victoria) of Lake City, Florida, and Steve Dobbins of Mableton. Lois is also survived by her sister Shirley Lenhart of Warner Robins and brother Edward Day (Mary) of Macon, as well as a great host of grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was a devoted member of Liberty Baptist church in Douglasville, GA. And she worked many years at the Jo-Ann Shop on the Square in Downtown Marietta. Her hobbies consisted of cooking, traveling and gardening. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 14, 2022 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory with the funeral service to follow at 12pm with Terry Marbut officiating. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
