Mary Mildred Burel

Mary Burel passed away July 17, 2023, from a long struggle with Alzheimer's. She was born March 20, 1935, and was 88 years old. Mary is the wife of Joe Burel. (William Joseph Burel passed away February 9, 2018). She is survived by her two daughters, Christine Burel and Kimberly Burel-O'Neal of Canton, Georgia and one grandson Zachary Joseph O'Neal of Austin, Texas. Mary has one surviving brother, Tom Moranville of Mesa, AZ.
Mary was born in St Louis Missouri and after college moved to Atlanta Georgia where she met the Love of her Life, Joe. They lived in Smyrna, Georgia and enjoyed 59 years of Marriage.
Mary was a high school English teacher and instilled a great love for reading and grammar to her girls. Mary and Joe were able to retire early and spend their time together working in Woodcraft toys for children. They enjoyed going to Craft Shows for their woodcrafts. This allowed for camping and travelling, which they enjoyed immensely.
