Marshal Harrel-- wait, wait. No one called him Marshal.
Wally Harrelson passed away on March 7, 2025, at the age of 81. He is survived by his son, Justin, grandsons, JD and Joseph, granddaughter, Ellie, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends. Wally is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Brenda Faye Harrelson, mother, Isa Lee Harrelson, his brothers, Kenneth and Shelby, and his sisters, Faye and Rose.
Wally was a beloved husband, father, grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend who had a love for the great outdoors. Whether he was reeling in a fish that was "this big," camping under the stars (more likely snoozing by the campfire), or perfecting his bird-watching game, he made every moment count. He loved woodworking and DIY projects, building his own home and filling it with furniture that he lovingly crafted or rescued from the brink of furniture extinction. Wally was also a die-hard Braves fan, weathering the ups and downs with the resilience of a seasoned pro.
Though he didn't dedicate himself to one church, Wally lived a spiritual life. He was always the first to offer a helping hand to those in need, making friends wherever he went.
The family will receive friends on March 15, 2025 at 1:00PM. A funeral service will follow at 2:00PM. Burial will be held at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia.
