Marsha Roena Davis, age 60, of Marietta, GA passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.
Marsha was born in Athens, TN on October 14, 1961, and raised there, Chicago, IL, and Smyrna, GA. She was preceded in death by her mother Beverly Davis and her nephew Toby Byars Davis. She is survived by her fiance Brian Swanson, brothers Joel "Jase" Davis, Rex "Toby" Davis, and Kevin Davis, sisters Regina Newell, Suzi Davis, Rena Hamby, and Julia Tinker Johnson, sons James Hughes and Anthony Johnson, and daughters Marena Johnson, Jamie Post, and Lisa Gaddis.
Marsha was an avid fan of any and all forms of art and literature, with a particular affinity for photography and a love of fantasy novels. She was also a lover of all genres of music, with favorite artists ranging from Willie Nelson to The Moody Blues to Ozzy Osbourne. She loved her family and friends fiercely and was a stranger to no one. Often described as awe-inspiringly beautiful with a magnetic personality, those closest to her would also call her quirky and silly, always doing something for a laugh, a quality she was sure to instill in her children as well.
Cremation is being handled by West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, with her ashes being divided amongst her fiance and her children.
