Marlin “Paul” Lingenfelter, age 92. March 25, 2024. Beloved husband of the late Judy Parsons. Paul leaves behind Marty (Vicky) Fritton, Lockport, NY, Bradley (Cindy – Dec.) Fritton, Woodhull, NY, Chris Parsons Marietta, GA and Michelle (Wendell) Bedwell, Powder Springs, GA, 6 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Paul was born in Kramer, PA, moved to NY in 1951 and to Austell, GA in November 2004. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jane and Wayne Lingenfelter, 2 brothers Wayne and Albert and two sisters, Elsie and Martha. Paul served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War attaining the rank of Sergeant. Leaving the military he joined Harrisons, Division of GM, where he worked for 31-1/2 years, retiring in December 1983 from the Engineering Department. After retiring but not wanting to be still he joined Cobb Antique Mall to serve as furniture mover, maintenance man and storyteller. Paul was an inventor – saving GM > $1,000,000, an avid fly fisherman of Rainbow trout and salmon. He enjoyed baking, camping, being outdoors, fly tying, woodworking, and building furniture from cedar chests to pie safes but his real passion was baseball where he asked for an 800 number to tell the coaches what they were doing wrong.
