Marjorie Williams Marshall went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 9, 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Beverly Marshall Johnson; her sons, Larry, Gary and Jerry Marshall; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren with an additional great granddaughter on the way. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Marshall.
The youngest of two children, Marjorie was born May 31, 1931, in Malvern, Arkansas. Soon after marriage, she and her husband moved to Denton, Texas, where they lived for 47 years. Her days in Denton found her running errands for the family business, Leslie's Camera Shop. She always had time to listen to the college students from TWU and NTSU who thought of the Marshall house as their "home away from home." The hardest thing about leaving Denton for Margie was leaving behind the friends that had become like family to her.
Margie lived in Georgia for 21 years after she and Leslie relocated to be near family due to his failing health. Being the people person that she was it didn't take her long to create an additional network of friends.
She will be deeply missed by all her family and to those who had the opportunity to call her "friend."
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 11, at 4:00 p.m. at West Ridge Church, 3522 Hiram Acworth Highway, Dallas GA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Global Church Missions Fund, 17701 NW 57th Avenue, Miami FL, in support of her grandson, Ryan, who serves as a missionary in London.
