Wilson Cole of Powder Springs went to Heaven on February 21, 2025. Wilson was born on July 13, 1938 to Lee Roy Cole and Inez Cole. He served in the U.S. Air Force and worked with Univac/Sperry Corporation/Unisys for more than 35 years.
Wilson was a talented and knowledgeable musician, and an ardent fan of bluegrass music. He also loved all kinds of fishing, but especially enjoyed spending time on Cherry Grove Pier in SC with a close-knit family of fishing buddies.
Wilson also adored his family and relished time spent with them. He is survived by his wife, Pat; daughter, Judy Cole Chavis (Joe); son, Jerry Cole; stepdaughter, Tobi Bellin (Shane); sisters, Mary Scott and Shirley Thompson; brothers, Kenneth Cole and Charles Cole (Beverly); and many nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents, as well as brothers, Bill Cole and Jerry Cole; sisters, Margaret Shannon, Linda Walden and Bobbie Dobbs; and stepdaughter, Tina Locklear.
Visitation will be Tuesday, February 25, from 5 to 7 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Wednesday, February 26, from 11 am to 12 pm at Powder Springs First United Methodist Church. Funeral is at 12 pm with interment at Kennesaw Memorial Cemetery.
