Marilyn Loretta Butler

Mrs. Marilyn Loretta Burnette Butler passed away on Wednesday, February 6, 2019. A funeral service will be held for Mrs. Butler on Saturday, February 9, 2019 at 11 AM in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home. Pastor Don Williams will be officiating. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, February 8, 2019 from 4 PM to 8 PM at West Cobb Funeral Home.
Mrs. Butler worked as a custodian at Mabry Middle School for many years. She raised her family in the Elizabeth Area, and attended New Home Baptist Church in Woodstock, GA. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister.
Mrs. Butler was preceded in death by: her parents, William and Naomi Burnette; her husband, Sharon Odell Butler; her daughter, Melissa Weathington; her grandson, Chad Odell Hunter; and her brothers and sisters, Hansell Burnette, Jeanette Hughes, Robert Burnette, Harold Dean Burnette, and Larry Burnette.
Mrs. Butler is survived by: her daughter, Trina Stell (Doug); her grandchildren, Amanda Hamilton (Matthew), Darian Weathington (Jennifer), Chase Hunter (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Walker Hamilton, Lincoln Weathington, Madison Hunter, Colton Hunter, Kaitlyn Hunter, Sofie Bosworth, Sadie Bosworth; her brothers and sisters; Evelyn Rakestraw, Linda Densmore, Glenn "Cotton" Burnette (Judy); and many nieces and nephews.
