Marie D. Thompson

Marie D. Thompson, age 82, of Marietta, Georgia passed away June 29, 2017. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 9, 2017 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta. Interment will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in Marietta, Georgia.

Marie was a native of Tallapoosa, GA and lived most of her life in Marietta, GA. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Marietta. She retired from Lockheed Martin, loved flowers, gardening, gambling, traveling and cruises. Marie especially loved spending time with her family and cat Boots.

Survivors include: her husband of 62 years: John Thompson of Marietta, GA; two daughters: Pamela Elledge of Marietta, GA and Rhonda Smith of Powder Springs, GA; three grandchildren: Lindsey and Courtney Elledge and Ryan Smith.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 9, 2017 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA followed by the service at 2:00 pm in the Chapel.
