Mrs. Marie Evelyn Jakstadt, age 83, of Marietta, GA passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017. Funeral Services will be held 2pm Saturday, January 21st at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Bob Carroll officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12pm until 2pm on Saturday prior to the service.
Marie Jakstadt, known by family and friends as “Mickey”, was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on October 31, 1933 to Peter Schneider and Marie Birri Schneider. She graduated from Western Hills High School, then married Albert “Al” George Jakstadt on July 7, 1956. They were married for over 60 years. She was a private piano teacher, enjoyed classical music, and had a deep love for animals, especially dogs.
Her life centered around her family and her love for the Lord. She loved reading the Bible and had memorized many passages. She combined her love for music and her love for the Lord by creating many violin and piano arrangements of her favorite sacred music.

7 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren, and many other family and friends.
