Maria Rosaria Anthony, age 74, of Powder Springs, GA passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10am Thursday, February 15th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marietta with Monsignor John Walsh officiating. Burial will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born in Naples, Italy, Mrs. Anthony, "Rosie" has lived in Powder Springs for the past 28 years. Rosie fell in love and married Michael in 1972 while he was stationed in Naples in the Marine Corps. They lived and traveled throughout Europe and The United States for over twenty years where they later settled in Powder Springs. She took pride in being a homemaker and raising her three children. Rosie also worked in the daycare program at McEachern Memorial United Methodist Church for many years. She touched so many lives and loved taking care of children. She also enjoyed many activities, including riding with her husband on their Harley Davidson, gardening, cooking, dancing, singing, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She especially loved spending family time with her grandchildren cooking, swimming, and making pizza in the stone brick oven in the backyard. She was a loving woman who enjoyed life and laughter.

The family will receive friends Wednesday afternoon from 4pm until 6pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta.
