Marcelle Draper McConnell

Marcelle Boudreaux Draper McConnell, age 86, of Marietta, Georgia passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2018. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at Olive Springs Baptist Church in Marietta with Dr. Randy Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta. She will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the ceremony.

Raised in Atlanta, Mrs. McConnell moved to Marietta in 1965. She worked as a Customer Service Representative for Trust Company Bank, retiring after 20 years in banking. She was a longtime member of Olive Springs Baptist Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and presenting weekly children's sermons. She also loved knitting and spending time with her family.

Husband: Paul L. McConnell, Marietta, GA

2 Sons: Scott L. (Glenda) Draper, Lake Spivey, GA and Barry W. (Shirley) Draper, Clermont, FL

Daughter: Susan (Jim) Norris, Smyrna, GA

7 Grandchildren: Jennifer, Jessica, Marcie, Tony (Ashley), Ashley (Jon), Cory (Heather) and Angela (Jeff)
