Manuel Navarro Hernandez, age 63 of Powder Springs, passed away December 23, 2015. Funeral Services will be held at 10 am on Tuesday, December 29 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta. Interment will follow at Georgia National Cemetery, Canton at 11 am on Wednesday, December 30.
Manny was born in Juarez, Mexico and came to the United States with his family as a young boy. He was a proud 20+ year retiree of the United States Army. He was a computer geek, loved to fish and was a devoted husband, father, PawPaw and brother-in-law. He will be greatly missed.
He preceded in death by his father, Clemente Hernandez and is survived by his loving wife of 29 years, Annie Hernandez; his mother, Casimira Hernandez; children: Ronald Hawkins, Gabrielle Dent, Manuel “Shorty” Hernandez, Jr; 7 siblings: Mary H. Trejo, Esther H. Plemmons, Clemente Hernandez, Maria N. Hernandez, Corie Hernandez, Fernando Hernandez, Jessica Hernandez; 9 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and a host of extended family and special friends, Edward & Leona Lamar.
