Lyn Elizabeth Murphy

Lyn Elizabeth Murphy, peacefully passed away surrounded by her loving devoted family on Monday, May 16, 2022 at the age of 62, she fought a long courage battle with cancer and is resting in peace with the Lord. Memorial Service will be held at 7:00 pm on Thursday, May 26, 2022 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel in Marietta, GA.

Lyn was born in Dartford, Kent, England on April 9, 1960. Her life took her on many journeys including moving to Virginia Beach in 1971 and then to Okinawa, Japan, years later she returned to Virginia before making Villa Rica, Georgia her home.

She loved her family and enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, like collecting seashells on the sandy beaches, fishing in the Chesapeake Bay, camping and exploring nature and family vacations in Panama City. She was an avid collector of many things including sought after antiques and enjoyed weekends at the antique markets. Her greatest joy came from her garden, where she meticulously constructed a beautiful pond and spent endless hours planting flowers and had enough bird houses for every bird in Villa Rica. Her other great joy was her little faithful Pomeranian, Zoey who was constantly by her side. She will be deeply missed until we meet again in the Garden of the Lord.

She will remain forever in the hearts of her family, she is survived by her mother Teresa Kraemer, husband Pat Murphy of 35 years, her three children, Chris Allen, Brittany Murphy and Cullen Murphy; one grandchild, Christopher Elijah Allen; her sister Alisa Lessard and brother Christopher Kreamer.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, May 26, 2022 from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, GA.
