Lucy Patton Singleton, age 82, of Marietta, passed away January 8, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 2pm Sunday, January 12, 2014, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, Marietta, with Rev. Johnny Foster officiating. Interment will follow at Kennesaw Memorial Park.
Mrs. Singleton was a life-long resident of Cobb County. She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.
Mrs. Singleton was preceded in death by her parents, Jerry Logan and Anna Delola Markum Evans; husband, Marshall Singleton; son, Thomas “Tommy” Eugene Stroud and siblings, Lester, Lewis, Lenor and Lorene.
Survivors include her children, William Lake Stroud, Jr. and wife Karen Stroud, Peggy Ann Stroud, Barbara Jean Payne and husband Mark Payne; brothers, Edwin Evans and Charles Evans; seven grandchildren: Stacie Stroud Williams and husband J.D. Williams, Lisa Evans Kiguru and husband Peter Kiguru, Jenn Pryor, Anthony Jones, Chris Jones and wife Meghan Jones, Brandon Stroud, Brittney Stroud Young and husband Nick Young; and nine great-grandchildren: Saylor McKenzie Williams, Kinley Summer Williams, Canyon Lake Williams, Patton Jackson Pryor, Dean William Pryor, Laurence Fleming, Justin Fleming, Aiden Michael Jones and Danica Grace Jones.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1pm until the service.
