Louis Snyder

Louis Snyder, age 98, of Powder Springs passed away August 22, 2018. Memorial Services will be held at 11 am on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at Faith Lutheran Church, 2111 Lower Roswell Road in Marietta with Rev. Carl Schneider and officiating. Inurnment will be held at 12:30pm on Friday, September 7, 2018 at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

Mr. Snyder was one of the founders of Faith Lutheran School in Marietta. He was a veteran of the United States Army Air Corp, having served during WWII. He worked as a flight engineer for Eastern Airlines before working for and retiring from Lockheed after over 25 years of employment.

He was preceded in death by his son, Glenn L. Snyder in 1999, and his wife, Florence Snyder in 2014.

He is survived by: 3 children, Louis Snyder of Marietta, David Snyder of Dallas and Drusilla Reid of Powder Springs; daughter-in-law, Mary Snyder of Suffolk, VA; 9 grandchildren, Daniel Reid, Hannah Choe (Jang), Seth Snyder (Jane Nguyen), John Snyder, Joseph (Britney) Snyder, Kathleen Snyder, Kayla Snyder, Emily Snyder and Sallie Snyder; 1 Great Grandchild, Reya Snyder.
