Louis McGuire "Mickey" Briel

Louis McGuire "Mickey" Briel, age 80, of Powder Springs, GA passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2019. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at 3pm on Friday, June 21, 2019 at Kennesaw Memorial Park in Marietta.
A native of Virginia, Mr. Briel lived most of his life in Cobb County. He earned his Bachelor of Science from Virginia Tech. He retired from Macon Pre-Stressed Concrete after 20 years of employment where he was Vice President of Sales. He was a member of the Elks Club of Marietta, and was an avid Atlanta sports fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Parker Briel, and is survived by his daughter, Bonnie (Dennis) Burnette of Calhoun; sons, David Briel and Bryan Briel, both of Powder Springs; sisters, Sue Griggs and Byrl Phillips-Taylor, both of Virginia; grandchildren, Kyle and Chad Tucker, and Gracie Griffin; uncle, Jerry Pugh of Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org . The family will receive friends Friday, June 21st from 12:30pm until 2:30pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta, GA 30064. Online guest book at www.westcobbfuneralhome.com .
