Louis Franklin Nix, age 77, of Acworth passed away December 12, 2014. Funeral Services will be held at 11 am on Monday, December 15, 2014 in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens in Cartersville.
Mr. Nix was born in Atlanta and lived in Marietta for 34 years before moving to Acworth. He worked for Southern Tea/Tetley Tea and was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Mary Joyce Nix of Acworth, GA; children: Cindy (Herman) Bloch of Elberta, AL and Wendell (Sharon) Nix of Hiram, GA; sister, Donna (Charles) Corpening of Cumming, GA, Joe (Margie) Rodgers of Newborn, GA; 4 grandchildren: Brandon Stroud, Brittney Young, Amanda Bloch, Taylor Bloch and 1 great-grandchild, Reese Olivia Young.
