Lottie Thurmond

Mrs. Lottie Thurmond, age 90, of Marietta, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Friday, March 29, 2013, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta with Dr. Randy Cheek officiating. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park.
A native of Pennsylvania, Mrs. Thurmond had lived in Marietta for over 60 years and retired from Coca-Cola where she was employed as a bookkeeper. Mrs. Thurmond had been a member of Olive Springs Baptist Church for over 50 years where she sang with the Sweet Spirit Singers and volunteered with MUST Ministries.
Mrs. Thurmond was preceded in death by her husband, E.C. Thurmond. Survivors include her son, Marshall Thurmond of Powder Springs; sisters, Wanda (Larry) Dudzik and Helen Flanagan of Washington, PA; grandchildren, Josh Thurmond of Marietta and Bethany Thurmond of Powder Springs; great-grandson, Sebastian Thurmond of Marietta and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, March 28, 2013, from 6pm-8pm.
Memorial contributions can be made to MUST Ministries.
