Lois Beatrice Carr

Lois Beatrice Carr, age 88, of Mableton, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 17, 2023. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Floyd Road Baptist Church in Austell, GA with Pastor Keith Collins officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 1pm until 2pm. Interment will follow at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta.

Born in Chattanooga, TN, Mrs. Carr was raised in Rome, GA before moving to Cobb County in 1958. She taught art classes, and worked as a substitute teacher with the Cobb County School System. She also loved donating her time to the Food Ministry at Floyd Road Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Carr, a son, Michael Lewis Carr, and a daughter, Kathy A. Smith

Survivors include: Son-in-Law, Steve Smith, Mableton, GA; 4 Grandchildren, Eric (Joanna) Smith II, Carrollton, GA, Michelle (Eric) Roberson, Carrollton, GA, Deric (Tabatha) Smith, Douglasville, GA, and Raymond (Abby) Carr, Woodstock, GA; 1 Sister and 2 Great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, June 21, 2023 from 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta, Georgia.
