Lisa Ricketts

December 26, 1961 – April 30, 2022

Ms. Lisa D. Ricketts (Futrelle), age 60, of Canton, GA, passed serenely at home Saturday, April 30, 2022. Visitation for friends and extended family will take place at 11 AM, Saturday, May 7th at Milford Baptist Church in Marietta, followed by her Funeral Service at 12 PM in the same location. Interment will be at Melrose Hills Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Villa Rica, Ga.

Ms. Ricketts was born at Crawford Long hospital in 1961 and a native of Marietta, Ga. She graduated from Robert L. Osborne High School in 1979. She went on to start a successful and happy career as a dental assistant at Marietta Dental Associates, where she brightened up the lives of the staff and every patient she worked with. She was a member of Burnt Hickory Baptist Church almost 2 decades and recently rejoined her childhood church Milford Baptist in early 2022. She was known for her infinite love of family, friends, patients from the dental office, and muscle cars. We will all miss her vivacious spirit, comforting nature, her ability to never meet a stranger, and her vast knowledge of classic rock music (Particularly, Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant and Sound Garden/Audio Slave’s Chris Cornell). To many of us, there will never be another person that brightens any room quite like she did.

Survivors include her children, Christopher Cail, of Acworth, Ga; Taylor Ricketts Addison and spouse, Jason Addison of Kennesaw; Deidra Ricketts Toache and spouse, Jason Toache of Woodstock; Bonus Son- Daniel Hackett and spouse, Desiree Hackett of Powder Springs. Parents, Philip, and Nancy Futrelle Grandchild Tara Cail; Brother, James “Jimmy” Futrelle and spouse, Katy Futrelle; Sister, Susan Futrelle Gregory and spouse, Chris Gregory. And Special friends, David Dewrell and Nicholas Cail.
