Lindsey Durden

Lindsey Durden, age 87, of Acworth, Georgia passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 3, 2019 at West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory in Marietta with Rev. Bill Rorie officiating. Interment will follow at 1:30pm at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

Born in Swainsboro, GA, Mr. Durden moved to Cobb County 55 years ago from Vidalia, GA. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean War. Afterwards, he worked at Lockheed for 10 years before opening and operating Cobb Rental Services since 1974. He was a former member of Mt. Calvary and Labelle Heights Baptist Church, and currently a member of Pickett's Mill Baptist Church. Survivors include: Wife, Reta Durden; 2 Children, Marsha (Sammy) Davis, Acworth, GA and Scott (Leah) Durden, Acworth, GA; 4 Grandchildren, Lauren (Chad) Cannon, Teri (Kayla) Durden, Ryan Davis and Cady (Chad) Crider; 6 Great Grandchildren, Ashlynn Grace Durden, Kallian Rebecca Durden, Barrett Samuel Cannon, Everleigh Jade Crider, Tristan Scott Durden and Aubreigh Cate Crider..
