Linda Mills Hale

December 15, 1940 — February 27, 2025

Linda Mills Hale, beloved mom and Mimi, went to be with her Savior on February 27, 2025 surrounded by family.

Linda was born December 15, 1940 in Charlotte, North Carolina and raised in Mt. Airy. She was a 1959 graduate of Mt. Airy High School. She later moved to Kentucky and Arkansas before returning to her home state to reside in Winston-Salem. As a social butterfly, she enjoyed reconnecting with classmates at class reunions, being among friends and making new ones.

Linda's friendly nature and zest for life touched all who knew her. She was a faithful mom, friend, sister and aunt, and truly never met a stranger. Her radiant spirit shone whether she was enjoying music, socializing or dancing. Linda led an active lifestyle and had a passion for amateur golf, concerts and travel. She loved being outdoors and appreciated the beauty of flowers, animals and birds - especially cardinals. As an avid cook, she often shared her delicious cream cheese braids, homemade bread or chicken marsala with neighbors and friends. She will forever be remembered, dearly missed and live in our hearts always.

Linda is survived by her children, Scott Hale (Jenny) of Marietta, GA and Lynn Frick (Tyler) of Salisbury, NC; granddaughters, Sophie Hale of Athens, GA and Emily and Ellison Frick of Chapel Hill, NC; and nephew, Dean Abee (Melissa) of Kernersville, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Wilson Mills and Marion Overcash Mills, and beloved sister, Gloria Mills Abee.

At Linda's request, a private family service will be held at a later date. Until then, she invites us to raise a glass of wine in celebration, as she dances joyfully in the fields of heaven. The family extends their deepest gratitude to the staff of The Grand at Sterling Estates for their compassionate care and support.
