Linda Lee Brady, age 75, a loving wife, mother and grandmother from Thomaston, Georgia, passed away March 4, 2024. Linda was born in Clinton, IA to Robert and Dorothy Vogel, who proceeded her in death. She was raised in Chicago, IL and she graduated from Northern Illinois University. She went on to obtain her Masters of Science Degree from University of Texas Health Science Center (San Antonio) and advanced medical degree from Emory University in Atlanta. Her love of children led her to work with multiple pediatric practices in the Southeast and she eventually retired from medicine in Thomaston and Zebulon, Georgia.
Her retirement was spent traveling and cruising with her family where her favorite destinations included Hawaii, New York, Myrtle Beach, Alaska, the Caribbean, Orlando and National Parks. She loved spending quality time with her family playing cards, relaxing by the pool with family and friends, shopping with her girls, enjoying art and watching live theatre. But her favorite moments were spent reflecting on her grandchildren as she took great pride in their accomplishments.
Linda is survived by her husband of 32 years, Donald B. Brady, CSM (ret); two children, Michael Dondelinger and his wife Alice, from Marietta and Nicole Stokes and her husband David, from Sandy Springs; two step-daughters, Crystal Davidson and her husband Kyle, from Lancaster, PA and Willie Wilhelm and her wife Amy, from Lancaster, PA; grandchildren, David Stokes III, Matthew Stokes, Melinda Dondelinger and Michael Dondelinger; Sister Karen Bouma and husband Owen, from St. Johns, IN; and several nieces and nephews. Though she will be greatly missed by all who knew her, her bright and sunny spirit lives on in the hearts of her family.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 8, 2024 beginning at 10:00 am at West Cobb Funeral Home in Marietta, Georgia with a memorial service immediately following at 12:00 pm.
