Linda Helen Alvarado

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Helen Alvarado (Anderson), age 79, on January 28, 2025. Born on May 5, 1945, in Acworth, Helen was the beloved daughter of Rev. JL Anderson and Ada R. Anderson. She was part of a large, loving family, the tenth of eleven children. 

Helen was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Domingo “Sandy” Alvarado, her siblings, James, Leonard, Beatrice, Louise and Ollie Ruth. 

Helen is survived by five of her brothers—Benny, Marolyn, Fred, Richard, and Roy—and her two sons, Johnny and Terry, along with their wives, Lana and Doreen. She was a proud grandmother to four grandchildren: Jason, Nichole, Amanda, and Ashleigh, and a doting great-grandmother to Bryce, Bradyn, Aspynn, and Ember. 

Helen had a long and fulfilling career, retiring from WellStar and enjoyed her retirement surrounded by friends and family. 

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 4th, to honor her memory and the many lives she touched. Details in the coming weeks. 

The family invites all who knew Helen to join them in reflecting on her legacy of love, kindness, and warmth. 

Helen’s family takes comfort in knowing that her spirit will continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who knew her.
