Lilly Mae Cheek Rogers, age 88, of Marietta, passed away on Friday, November 22, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 1pm on Monday, November 25, 2013, in the Chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home and Crematory, 2480 Macland Road, Marietta with Rev. Tammy Phillips officiating. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery in Atlanta.
Born in Chicago, Lilly spent most of her life in the Atlanta area. She was a retired insurance clerk with Crawford Long Hospital and a member of the Eastern Star-Lebanon Chapter. She was of the Baptist Faith.
Survivors include her daughter, Bonnie Abernathy of Marietta; 2 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and 4 great great-grandchildren (plus 2 on the way).
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, November 23, 2013 and Sunday, November 24, 2013 from 2pm-6pm both days.
