Curtis L. McClendon

Mr. Leroy Curtis McClendon passed away, Wednesday, December 18, 2019. A funeral service will be held for Mr. McClendon on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at 1 PM in the chapel of West Cobb Funeral Home. The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, December 27, 2019 from 6-8 PM at West Cobb Funeral Home.
Mr. McClendon was a devout Jehovah's Witness and a member of the East Powder Springs Congregation. He was a hard-working man, who worked for Atlanta Structural Concrete Company for 51 years. He was known to many as "Cat Daddy" and "Head", and was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Mr. McClendon was preceded in death by: his parents, Marion Jones and Curtis McClendon; his son, Otis 'Jack" Carter; his grandson, David Jordan; his brothers, Tony Clements and Jerry Carlisle; and sister, Emma Clements.
Mr. McClendon is survived by: his wife, Barbara McClendon; his children, Leroy, Demekia, Sonya, Evette, Michelle, and Darrell; his brothers, George and Richard Clements, Larry, Michael, Lynne, Mark, Vance, and Dale McClendon; his sisters, Carol Clements and Ruthie McClendon; 31 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He had great love and support from Brian, Brandon, Blair, Derrick, D.J., Devin, Tenia, Taylor, Amiya, and Jayden.
