Leonie Wagner Rakestraw, 80, of Austell, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, August 29, 2013.

Born and raised in Germany, Leonie married Billy Rakestraw in 1956 and had been a resident of Cobb County since 1969. She retired from Cub Foods where she was employed as a seafood manager.
Survivors include her children, Stanley Rakestraw of Austell, Monica Rakestraw Brock of Marietta, Harold Rakestraw of Acworth, Norman Rakestraw of Canton and Wendell Rakestraw of Austell; sisters, Tradel Ivey of Kennesaw and Monika Henn of Austell; grandchildren, Casey Stingel, Dela Rakestraw, Stacy Brock, Phillip Brock, Daniel Rakestraw, Sheila Rakestraw, Austin Rakestraw and Alyssa Rakestraw and great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Brock, Lauren Brock, Noah Brock, Connor Brock, Dylan Stingel, Layla Stingel and Charley Stingel.
