Reflections on the life of
Leon Constantine Black, Sr.
Leon Constantine Black was born in St. Ann on the beautiful island of Jamaica, West Indies, on November 5, 1925. He was 4 of 7 born to Sylvester Augustus and Sarah Maria Black. He follows his wife Myrtle Clotilda Black of 61 years on Friday, February 24, 2023, at 3:50am. He passed away peacefully in his sleep.
He loved and feared the Lord. Leon accepted the Advent faith in 1955. The Lord used him to bring the Advent message to the rest of his family. After migrating to Brooklyn, NY in 1969, Leon continued serving the Lord at the Hanson Place SDA Church. Throughout his life, he was faithfully engaged with serving the Lord in various church offices. In 1999, he moved to Hinesville, GA. He enjoyed being an usher and deacon for several years at Hanson Place SDA and Hinesville First SDA churches.
